Jeff Kavanaugh
A Michigan native, Jeff has always held a deep passion for helping others. After retiring from the Westland Police Department in 2016, he decided to turn his focus towards nurturing his skills and passion for golf.
Despite playing with friends and co-workers, Jeff grappled with years of frustration due to stagnation in his golfing progress. This all changed seven years ago when he enrolled at BE Golf. This decision marked a significant turning point in his golfing journey as he gained a deeper understanding of both himself and the game.
As he started making progress and began to comprehend the science behind the ball's behavior, he learned how to make the necessary adjustments to his technique. This newfound knowledge led to a significant improvement in his confidence and skill level and led him to joing BE Golf as a coach.
Currently, Jeff serves as the Varsity Golf Coach for both the Boys' and Girls' Golf Teams at Walled Lake Western High School. Under his coaching last season, the Girls' Team celebrated their first winning record in years. Several of his players achieved All-conference and All-district honors, and one exceptional golfer even earned a bid to compete at the D1 state championship. Jeff ’s story is a testament to the transformative power of passion and dedication.
